Learning Business by Doing Business at รlemiste Centre
IST students transformed business ideas into market-ready products and gained practical experience by selling them to real customers.
IST students moved beyond business plans and classroom discussions when they presented and sold their own products at the Business Fair at รlemiste Centre.
Preparing for the fair required students to think through the different stages of developing a business idea. They considered what makes a product attractive, how to communicate its value and how to set a competitive price. During the event, they also gained direct experience of presenting their work, speaking with customers and responding to interest and feedback.
This practical setting helped students see how creativity, financial thinking, communication and decision-making work together. It also showed that entrepreneurship involves more than producing something to sell: it requires understanding an audience, adapting to circumstances and taking responsibility for choices.
Experiences like the Business Fair make learning tangible. Students can test their ideas in an authentic environment and reflect on what worked, what could be improved and what they might do differently next time.
Well done to all the students who participated, and thank you to everyone who helped make this valuable learning opportunity possible.
