AI-TransformED

šŸŽ‰ International School of Tallinn is proud to be one of the consortium partners in AI-TransformED – Competences, Culture and Capacities for Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education and Training, a newly launched Erasmus+ Forward-Looking Project.

AI-TransformED brings together nine partners from across Europe, including universities, schools, training organisations, and education innovation experts, to explore how generative AI can be integrated into education in a responsible, ethical, and pedagogically meaningful way.

For IST, this project represents an exciting opportunity to contribute from the perspective of a forward-looking international school where innovation, student learning, teacher development, and responsible digital transformation are central to our educational approach.

Through this collaboration, we look forward to contributing to the development of AI readiness frameworks, institutional capacity-building strategies, teacher competencies, and sustainable approaches to the use of AI in education. Together with our partners, we aim to support schools and educators in navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by generative AI.

We are delighted to be part of this inspiring European consortium and to work alongside leading organisations committed to shaping thoughtful, ethical, and future-ready approaches to AI in education.

Green Technology Project at IST – Funded by KIK

IST students from grades 4–6 explored the challenges of car overuse and climate change while seeking innovative solutions.
During the February school holiday, they had the exciting opportunity to participate in a Science Camp focused on sustainable technology. Throughout the camp, students conducted research, delivered presentations, and deepened their understanding of electric vehicles. The highlight of the project was assembling a real electric car, specially ordered from the UK-based company Greenpower. This hands-on experience was made possible thanks to the support of the Environmental Investment Centre (Keskkonnainvesteeringute Keskus – KIK).
After completing the build, students took the car for test drives—an unforgettable experience that combined teamwork, learning, and fun.
The project aimed to raise environmental awareness while enhancing students’ knowledge and skills. And the journey doesn’t stop here! The car will continue to serve as an inspiring learning tool, encouraging the next generation of engineers and innovators.
If you’re interested in seeing or test-driving the car, please email kerli.liksor@ist.ee.
