Grade 5 Students Prepare for the Move from PYP to MYP
Grade 5 students marked the completion of the Primary Years Programme and prepared to take their next steps as MYP learners.
Before ISTās Closing Ceremony, Grade 5 students received certificates marking their completion of the IB Primary Years Programme and an important transition in their school journey.
The ceremony recognised more than the end of a programme. Throughout the PYP, students have developed as curious and increasingly independent learners. They have learned to ask meaningful questions, investigate ideas, communicate their understanding and reflect on their progress.
These foundations will support them as they enter the Middle Years Programme. The MYP will introduce new subjects, expectations and opportunities while encouraging students to make connections between their learning and the wider world. Although the transition brings change, students will carry forward the confidence, curiosity and learning habits they have already developed.
The certificate ceremony gave students, families and teachers an opportunity to recognise how far the group has come and look ahead to what comes next.
Congratulations to all our Grade 5 students on completing the PYP. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow, explore and contribute as members of the MYP community.
