DP Graduation Celebrates Achievement and a New IST Tradition

The Class of 2026 marked its graduation by celebrating years of learning and planting the first tree in a new alumni tradition.

At the end of May, the IST community gathered to celebrate the graduation of our DP2 students and recognise an important milestone in their educational journey.

The ceremony offered graduates, families and teachers a moment to reflect on the commitment, growth and perseverance that brought the Class of 2026 to this point. Their Diploma Programme years challenged them to deepen their subject knowledge, think critically, manage demanding responsibilities and prepare for life beyond school.

This year’s graduation also introduced a meaningful new IST tradition. The Class of 2026 planted the first Graduation Tree in the school park. Designated as an Alumni Tree, it will provide a lasting connection between the graduating class and the community in which they learned, formed friendships and prepared for their next steps.

As the tree grows, it will become a living reminder of the students who planted it and the future they are now beginning to shape.
