Curiosity Takes Centre Stage at the MYP Science Exhibition
MYP students investigated topics ranging from planets to chemical reactions before sharing their scientific thinking with the IST community.
From planetary science to chemical experiments, this yearās MYP Science Exhibition demonstrated the range of questions that can emerge when students investigate how the world works.
Students presented projects developed through observation, research and experimentation. Alongside sharing their results, they had to explain their methods, communicate scientific ideas and respond to questions from visitors. These conversations were an important part of the experience, encouraging students to think carefully about their evidence and make complex information understandable to others.
The exhibition showed science as a process rather than simply a collection of facts. Asking focused questions, testing ideas, analysing results and recognising limitations are all central to developing scientific understanding and critical thinking.
A special highlight was a performance by the Rakett69 Science Theatre. Its lively demonstrations brought scientific concepts to life and showed how experimentation can engage both curiosity and imagination.
