Coffee Morning with Our MYP Coordinator

our school hosted a warm and engaging Coffee Morning with our MYP Coordinator, Ms. Meena Rajesh Gaikwad giving parents a hands-on opportunity to experience what learning feels like in the Middle Years Programme (MYP). Together, we explored how inquiry, collaboration, and reflection shape authentic understanding and how assessment in the MYP focuses on growth, not just grades.

Parents participated in a series of engaging activities — from thinking routines to ATL (Approaches to Learning) skill exercises — that highlighted how students develop communication, self-management, and critical-thinking skills. One of the highlights of the morning was when parents took on the role of MYP students and graded artwork using IB-style rubrics 🎨. This activity gave them a real sense of how assessments encourage reflection and personal growth rather than competition.

The session was filled with curiosity, laughter, and meaningful conversations. It was wonderful to see our parents connecting with one another and experiencing firsthand how our learners grow through the IB cycle of Inquiry → Action → Reflection.

A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing parent community for their enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and active participation — you made this Coffee Morning truly inspiring! 💛
