Ideas Take Shape at the MYP Personal Project Exhibition
From engineering and architecture to film and music, Grade 10 students presented more than 35 independently developed projects.
A study of Formula 1 aerodynamics, a model T-Rex skull, short films, musical work and architectural designs were among the more than 35 creations presented at ISTās MYP Personal Project Exhibition.
The variety of projects reflected the individual interests of our Grade 10 students. Behind every finished product was a longer process involving research, planning, decision-making and problem-solving. Students had to define a goal, manage their time, respond to challenges and evaluate both their process and the final result.
The Personal Project is an important concluding experience in the Middle Years Programme. It gives students an opportunity to take ownership of an extended piece of work while applying the skills they have developed across different subjects. The exhibition allowed them to explain not only what they created, but also what they discovered about learning independently.
Congratulations to all participating students for the imagination, persistence and commitment evident in their work. Their projects demonstrated just how many directions learning can take when students have space to pursue meaningful ideas.
