Celebrating International Mother Language Day at IST
At IST, International Mother Language Day is always a joyful celebration of the diversity that makes our school community so special. This year was no exception, as students and teachers came together to honor the many languages and cultures that are part of our everyday lives. It was a wonderful reminder of how proud we are to be such a truly international school.
Exploring Languages and Cultures
On Thursday, students from Kindergarten to MYP 5 took part in a variety of fun and meaningful activities. They listened to stories from different parts of the world, discovering new traditions and perspectives. Creative projects, such as making national dolls, allowed students to express cultural identity, while interactive games like guessing secret messages brought excitement and curiosity to the day.
Stronger Together Through Diversity
The celebration highlighted an important message: every language matters, and every culture is unique. By sharing and learning from one another, we continue to build a stronger, more connected community. Events like this help students appreciate diversity and understand the value of inclusion in our global world.
A Day to Remember
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so engaging and meaningful. International Mother Language Day at IST was not only educational, but also full of joy, creativity, and connectionāa true celebration of who we are together.
