Celebrating Friendship and Kindness on St. Valentine’s Day at IST

At IST, St. Valentine’s Day—also known as Sõbrapäev—was a joyful celebration of friendship, kindness, and togetherness. The school was filled with love and positive energy as students took the lead in organizing and decorating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

A Meaningful Start to the Day

The celebration began with a wonderful PYP assembly, where students explored the origins of St. Valentine’s Day. Through thoughtful reflections and shared ideas, they reminded us all of the importance of kindness, caring for others, and building strong friendships in our daily lives.

Fun Activities for Everyone

Throughout the day, the school was buzzing with excitement as students participated in a variety of fun activities. There were matching games that brought lots of laughter, opportunities to send heartfelt Valentine’s cards, and a special photo booth where friends captured joyful memories together. These activities helped strengthen connections and made the day even more memorable.

A Creative and Joyful Ending

The celebration ended on a high note with an engaging MYP assembly. Grade 10 students impressed everyone with their creative version of Romeo and Juliet, bringing a classic story to life in a fun and unique way. The community also enjoyed playing Kahoot and singing karaoke together, filling the room with laughter and music.
