Does IST have secure entrances?

Yes, there is a staff member at the entrance during busy hours, and when that staff member is not there, the gates that are locked for security purposes.

How many students are in IST?

Currently, we have more than 240 students from preschool to grade 12.

What are the tuition fees for the school?

Preschool – 7500 €/ac.year

PYP – 9000 €/ac.year

MYP- 9500 €/ac.year

DP – 9700 €/ac.year

How big are the class sizes?

Class sizes currently range from 14 to 23.

What is the IB?

What countries and nationalities are represented at school?

We have many local and foreign students and staff. Our students range from, but not limited to, Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, and Nigeria, to Estonia, Brazil, South Africa, and Mexico, Bangladesh, India. Our staff ranges from, but not limited to, The United States, Morocco, India and England to the Ukraine, Estonia, and Brazil, Indonesia, Spain, Canada and Azerbaijan, Colombia.

When does school day start?

The doors are open at 08:45.

The class starts at 09:00. 

The DP class starts at 08:00

When does school day finish?

Preschool to grade 2: 14:05
Grades 4-6: 14:55
Grades 7-8: Monday and Friday: 14:55 and Tuesday-Thursday: 15:45
Grades 9-12: 15:45
End of the school day depends on whether the students attend aftercare or extracurricular activity.

What is the best mode of transportation to get to IST?

Tram number 4, stopping at Ülemiste Linnak, or bus 15, stopping at Dvigatel.

Does your school have Estonian language lessons?

Grades 1-10: 2 lessons per week in small groups based on students’ language level.

What is included in school lunches?

A hot meal with salads, fruit, and juice. There is also the option for vegetarian, vegan, or other alternative meals if there are dietary restrictions or preferences.

What kind of certificate do students from IST graduate with?

Grade 12 students who successfully complete the IB Diploma Programme acquire a prestigious international diploma – The Diploma of the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma) with which they can apply to the best universities around the world. Along with the diploma, students will also receive the Diploma Programme (DP) Results Certificate which contains data on the total number of points, and grades in each course.
