The main role of the learning support (LS) specialist is to provide help for children who experience difficulties with organisational skills as well as basic areas of learning like reading, spelling, and mathematics. The LS specialist works closely with parents and other teachers to support the progress of each child. Support will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Parents and students can turn to the LS specialist when they

- Have noticed their child’spersistent difficulties in organising themselves, difficulties in acquiring new material, difficulties in reading and writing, difficulties in mathematics
- Have cooperated and consulted with teachers but the problems persist
- Want to gain a second opinion about their child´s education
