The number of students increases from 40 to 65.
Grades 9 and 10 as well as preschool are opened.
Obtaining an education license for upper secondary and preschool.
Applying for status as MYP (Middle Years Programme) candidate school.
Creating and implementing the quality system of the school.
Consecutive grades still form mostly combined classes e.g. grade 1 and 2 forms a single class.
Defining the characteristics of IST e.g. entrepreneurship, mindfulness, multi-intelligence.
2020
The number of students increases from 65 to 95.
Grades 11 and 12 are opened
Full PYP (Primary Years Programme) status from preschool to grade 6.
Applying for and obtaining DP (Diploma Programme) candidate status.
Basic school final exam in accordance with national curriculum.
Library and science classes are equipped.
Implementation of specialties of IST e.g. mindfulness.
2021
The number of students increases from 95 to 120.
The gradual elimination of combined classes.
Two classes in preschool.
Full MYP (Middle Years Programme) member status.
Gymnasium final examination in accordance with the national curriculum.
Intensification of the specialties of IST e.g. entrepreneurship.
Continuous implementation of IB in grades 11 and 12 as a DP (Diploma Programme) candidate school.
2022
The number of students increases from 120 to 150.
A further reduction in combined classes with at least 8 individual classes e.g. grade 1 and grade 2 are separate classes with their own class teachers.
Full DP (Diploma Programme) member status.
Fully IB accredited education from preschool to gymnasium (grade 12) level.
The basic school takes final exam in IB system.
Moving into a new school building.
2023
The number of students increases from 150 to 175.
At least 11 individual classes across all grades from grade 1 to grade 12.
IST becomes self-supporting.
Gymnasium takes final examination in the IB system.
IST actively participates in international education networks.
IST becomes a prestigious landmark institution in Ülemiste City.
2024
The number of students increases from 175 to 200.
No combined classes.
12 classes from grades 1 to 12.
Both preschool groups are at a maximum size of 18 students per group.
The reputation of IST as a preferred school for international education in English is solidified.
